Beyond the Lighted Stage

The older I get, and the more show experiences I gather, one concept becomes blatantly clear to me. Larger shows or higher profile concerts are really no different than a local club show. All of the main components to put on a show are still there. For instance, there are still cables, power supplies, mics, and instruments present; they're just fancier (usually) at high profile shows. The difference is all pretty much in the crowd If we're being real here, they paid to see you so there really isn't anything to be nervous about. I wish my 11 year old self knew that as I would stress out hardcore on the way to a gig. Basically, its normal to get butterflies, but just breathe deep: it's just a show.
