Perpetual Change (Heh)

Changes. Not only is it a mid to lower tier Yes song, it is the only constant in almost all facets of life. After a quick period of reflection, it is pretty crazy to see how much one can or has changed over the course of even a year.
I've been reflecting more recently, and it is surprising how much my tastes have changed. For instance, last May, I pretty much listened to death metal and technical death metal. Although I still enjoy and respect those genres and artists within them, I've found myself broadening my musical horizons, vastly. Some of my most played artists on Spotify include Snarky Puppy, Santana, and Kendrick Lamar. As opposed to Behemoth, The Faceless, and After the Burial this time last year.
This expansion of interest and musical exploration has manifested itself into my playing as well. I find myself working on 4-way ostinato grooves as much, if not more, than blast beats now. End of spiel, go have some coffee or something, that's what I'm doing.
